Curriculum Statement of Intent

Our whole curriculum is underpinned by our vision and values. We teach a broad and balanced curriculum based on a range of topics. We aim to inspire our pupils whilst ensuring they are nurtured to achieve their full potential.

Our whole school curriculum is based around our core values: RIDI – Respect, Independence, Dedication, Integrity

	To show resilience and perseverance despite difficulties.	Providing a broad and balanced curriculum in line with the National Curriculum Ensuring clear progression in subject knowledge and skills Providing challenging activities Making links between individual subjects and applying them to various topics Encouraging exploration of personal talents and skills
	To be a listener, to speak with care, question critically and respect the spaces we share and people within them.	Allowing all children the opportunity to voice their opinions Teaching skills needed to seek resolutions Providing opportunities to communicate on a local, national and international level Preparing pupils for the future in using tools of communication including ICT Having a robust and equitable behaviour policy
