This half term we will be studying The Island. Children will develop their reading and writing skills by exploring this engaging text and creating their own descriptive writing inspired by the story.

In History, children will learn about Vikings and Anglo-Saxons, discovering how these groups lived and how they shaped Britain’s history.
Children will create Art Illusions, exploring visual effects and different artistic techniques to produce imaginative pieces of artwork.
Our Computing topic is Computing Systems and Networks – Sharing Information. Children will explore how information is communicated and shared using technology and learn how to stay safe online.
Our topic is My Healthy Self. Children will explore how they can support their own mental and physical wellbeing and make positive choices for the future.

Children will consider how Christian beliefs and practices can vary around the world and within different communities.
Year 5 children will take part in Entrust Clarinet lessons, developing their musical skills through learning to play an instrument and performing together.
