Welcome to Year 2!

Here you can find useful links to support your learning at home as well as find key documents that we use in class.

We will also communicate on Class Dojo day to day.

This Half Term our Topic is…

School!

What did Charnwood Primary look like 50 years ago?

Through our history lessons we will be learning about our school. We will be learning facts about the school from 50 years ago and compare it to school now.

What lessons used to be taught?

What did the uniform look like?

What equipment was used?

What did the building look like?

It would be wonderful if any parents or grandparents of children within the class attended Charnwood Primary over the year. Let me know on Class Dojo!

Wellbeing Warriors!

Year 2 are Charnwood’s ‘Wellbeing Warriors’. We have been talking about our wellbeing and have been trying to complete random acts of kindness.

Wellbeing

We understand that sometimes the return to school after a break can be difficult and will do everything we can to support your child. Please be assured that our classroom will continue to be the safe, fun and engaging place it has always been. The return to school will be CALM and all the children will be looked after. If you ever wish to contact us please use Class Dojo to message us – no worry too small – and we will respond as soon as we are able.

For more information about how we are approaching the return to school and plan to provide a broad and balanced curriculum that supports your child’s academic needs alongside their emotional wellbeing please read out Recovery Curriculum Document.

 SEND

If your child has specific additional interventions in connection with an IEP or outside support agency Mrs Stafford will be in touch to provide you with resources to support at home. You can also find additional support on the SEND page of this website.
