Grammar

As you will already know, an important aspect of learning to write well is learning how to use grammar, punctuation and spelling correctly. In year 2 and 6, the children have a SATs test that assesses all of these areas. We teach grammar, punctuation and spelling regularly within our Literacy lessons to ensure that the children are confident. Mostly, we embed this work within other topics, such as biography writing, but sometimes we teach one off lessons to make sure that the children fully understand.
