Curriculum Statement of Intent

Our curriculum is underpinned by our vision and values.

We aim to inspire our pupils whilst ensuring they are nurtured to achieve their full potential.

Our whole school curriculum is based around our core values: The Seven C’s of Charnwood.

Rationale: Charnwood Primary Academy is situated in Lichfield in an area of high deprivation. Most pupils are from White British backgrounds. A small number of pupils speak English as an additional language. The proportion of pupils for whom the school receives the pupil premium is 25%.  The proportion of pupils who have special educational needs supported through school action is 25%. The proportion of these pupils supported through school action plus or with a statement of special educational needs is above average at 3.5%. The curriculum is designed to meet the needs of all learners despite their differing backgrounds. The vision and values have been designed to ensure all children thrive and leave Charnwood with the skills and confidence to successfully contribute to the world they live in.

WE ARE PROUD TO BE A PART OF SUA TRUST 

SUAT supports and leads in the set-up of new academies joining the partnership.  The services provided by the central support function cover both educational and non-educational support.  In terms of educational support, SUAT is linked to the School of Eduction of Staffordshire University, which is an outstanding ITT provider.
